God Will Protect And Rescue His Children

The Bible says we will hear rumors of war.  Rumors of a possible nuclear war has been spreading for months now. Today; there’s an actual war going on between Russia and Ukraine. Many are praying and hoping that peace talks will occur and end this war.  There’s conflict happening in Haiti, Ethiopia and elsewhere around the globe. We all feel the effects of living in a fallen world. Some to a greater degree than others.

Yet, the Bible tells us numerous times, 366 in fact; not to be afraid. We can rest assured that God is always near. The Bible also tells us that God has immeasurable love for His children. A love that will never end. God gives His promises that He will rescue and protect those that put their trust in Him.

How does the dictionary define the word protect: to keep safe; to keep from harm; to shield; preserve; shelter; defend; to look after; to take care of; to guard from attack; to shield from danger, loss , or injury.

Now let’s look at the definition of the word rescue: to save from a dangerous or distressing situation; to bring someone out of danger, attack or harm.

God promises in His Word that He will never leave or forsake us. Ever! I recall years ago being fearful after making a commitment to go on a mission trip to Haiti. One morning, I came across Deuteronomy 31:8 in my New Century Version Bible. “The Lord himself will go before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forget you. Don’t be afraid and don’t worry.”

Reading that verse gave me peace; I went on that mission trip, knowing the Lord was with me. He kept His promise, and has not failed me yet.

I want to leave you with other Bible verses that speak of God’s promises. Maybe there’s one you’ll want to claim for your own today.

For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. Psalm 91:3

The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. Psalm 34:19

He led me to a place of safety; he rescued me because he delights in me. 2 Samuel 22:30

But I will call on God; and the Lord will rescue me. Psalm 55:16

Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. Galatians 1:4

Because you trusted me, I will give you your life as a reward. I will rescue you and keep you safe. I , the Lord, have spoken. Jeremiah 39:18

The Bible is filled with God’s promises. I encourage you to seek them for yourself. Your life will never be the same. God bless!
