GRACE vs JUDGMENT – Which One Is It?

God knows I learn through books, and He places amazing ones in my path. I was not looking for a book that focused on grace and judgment. When I came across GRACE vs JUDGMENT Which One Is it? I couldn’t wait to start reading it, and I was not disappointed.

Before the Introduction of the book are the words: Exploring Scripture that answers the question of whether great grace and judgment can be operative at the same time in the life of believers on the earth.

In the Introduction, the reader discovers the difference between the grace churches and the extreme judgment ones. The question may be asked, which one is it – grace or judgment? Keith Butler’s purpose for writing the book was to clearly reveal through Scripture, God’s plan for grace and judgment.

The New Testament was originally written in Greek, so having the verses pertaining to grace and judgment explained by including the Greek meaning was beneficial to me.

The book has nine chapters. Chapter One is titled: A Scriptural Tour of Grace. I had no idea that the word “grace” has so many meanings, and how they differ. Chapter Two is titled; Great Grace, Great Judgment; I discovered the two can be operating in the life of a believer at the same time. A prime example is the story of what happened to Ananias and Sapphira in the book of Acts.

The Bible tells us that God made a covenant with the people of Israel. He says in Genesis 12:3: “I will bless those who bless you, and I will place a curse of those who harm you.” Keith Butler has aptly titled Chapter Seven: The Consequences of Violating the Covenant. In it, he gives dates and details of what happened in the United States when presidents pressured Israel to divide its land for peace. This chapter was an eye-opener and I’m not an American. Judgment comes in different forms – weather, economic loss, terrorist attacks or other disasters. Keith Butler’s book was released in 2014. Years have passed, and God’s judgment on the earth has not stopped. But neither has His grace, and for that we must be thankful.

God has anointed Keith Butler to write GRACE vs JUDGMENT – Which One Is it? They are topics that every believer needs to clearly understand, and his writing style enables readers to do so. My wisdom and knowledge on grace and judgment have been enhanced from reading this amazing book.
