Proverbs 16:3 is one of my favorite Scripture verses. “Commit to the Lord whatever do you, and your plans will succeed.”
How true it is. Yet; many people including myself can attest, when we try to do things on our own without ever consulting the Lord first, those plans often don’t succeed. A great amount of money, time, and effort are spend pursuing things contrary to what God planned for us.
We need to depend on the Lord to have success in our careers, finances, marriages, and family relationships. It would be foolish to think we could have success in any area of our lives without Him. It can’t be done.
Some people argue, “What about those who don’t serve the Lord and are very successful.” It appears they are successful, but will they spend eternity in heaven with Jesus? Will they hear Him say at the end of their lives? “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
To me, that’s ultimate success. Everything we need to know on how to live a successful life in found in the Bible. But in order for it to work we have to read what’s within, and apply it to our daily lives.
Lord, at the end of my life, I want to hear You say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” My success was the result of living a godly life based on what I learned from Your written Word.
Great message, I want to hear well done my good and faithful servant too!
Yes, hearing those words from the Lord is the ultimate reward for what we accomplished while living on the earth.
