Cast Your Burdens On The Lord

I Peter 5:7 says to cast our cares on the Lord because He cares for us. Two Scripture verses invite us to do the same thing – to cast our burdens on the Lord.

Psalm 55:22 reminds us again that we don’t have shoulder any burdens unless we choose to. I admit I’ve had to ask the Lord to forgive me for not bringing my burdens to Him, because I chose to carry them myself, trying to do things in my own strength and in my own way. I struggled when I didn’t need to. How foolish of me!  Maybe you can relate to what I’m sharing.

Let’s thank the Lord today for His Word, and for always being available to help us. Regardless of our attitudes or when we murmur and complain, God never leaves or forsakes us. He is always near, waiting to catch us when we’re about to stumble.

In truth, we have little to complain about. God will always sustain His children just as the verse says. The Bible tells us, He will meet our every need. All we have to do is ask in faith, believing He will do what His Word says. And He blesses us daily with benefits, and shows us His loving kindness. He is a good heavenly Father and He loves us so much. What more could we ask for?

Thank you Lord for Your willingness to take my burdens when they are too heavy for me to carry. Today, I’m reminded of how much You love me, and that You’re always near, forever available in my times of need.
