Pray For Our Leaders And Nation

We see and hear through media, world events setting the stage for Jesus’ return. Believers around the world must pray on behalf of their leaders and nation. Some may question what God is doing, don’t lose heart. Keep the faith, God is pouring out His Spirit in the land. He’s making His tremendous power available to guide the governments of every nation according to His divine will and plan. We are encouraged by God’s promise in Psalm 2:8.  Let’s pray and intercede on behalf of our leaders and nation.

Heavenly Father, I come before You in the Name of Jesus on behalf of the leaders of our nation. First of all, in accordance with I Timothy 2:1-2; I pray, intercede, and give thanks for everyone, for kings and for all in authority, expecting to live a quiet and peaceable life That the Word of God may be quickly spread and glorified, that Your people be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men and women. (2 Thessalonians 3:1-2) The heart of the king is in Your hand You turn it whichever way You choose. (Proverbs 21:1). Please direct the heart and mind of our leaders. Enable them to make decisions that will lead our nation in godly ways, according to Your Word.

Thank You, Lord, for bringing godly change to the politics of our nation, and for changing the voices of influence to speak in agreement with Your Word. Please send laborers filled with the spirit of wisdom and might, to surround our leaders with godly counsel and insight. I ask that those who stubbornly oppose righteousness, be removed from positions of authority, and be replaced with men and women who will follow You and Your appointed course for our nation.

Lord, we are in the last days spoken of in the Bible. I pray that believers in our nation, and every nation, will stand strong in their faith in Your Word, that Your power and glory be revealed in all nations around the world. Thank you, Lord, for answering this prayer in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
