Can God Count On You?

God is faithful and we give Him thanks and praise for always being there for us. We know He is dependable and loyal and we can expect great things when we call upon His name.

We need to consider that God needs faithful and wise stewards to manage His kingdom here on the earth. There’s kingdom work to be done before He returns, and there are signs, it could be very soon.

The creation story in the book of Genesis reveals that God gave man dominion over the earth. God never intended to maintain the kingdom Himself. We read countless stories in the Bible of men and women chosen by God to do great exploits to advance the kingdom.

In the book of Exodus we read where the children of Israel were in bondage in Egypt and God wanted to lead them out of captivity. He could have done it Himself, but He teamed up with a man called Moses. He stretched forth his hand on the earth and command the will of God to be completed.

Have you ever wondered why God chose Moses? God needed someone faithful and true, one whom would do exactly what God asked of him. God needed someone He could count on and Moses was that kind of man.

Psalm 103:7 says, “He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts to the children of Israel.”  Moses had to know God and His ways in order to accomplish the task set before him. Otherwise, the children of Israel would never have witnessed Moses parting the Red Sea before their eyes, nor the other acts he did on their behalf.

God does not change. He is still looking for people to advance the work of His kingdom. Someone faithful and alert to spiritual things, who knows His Word and is willing to obey it. God is looking for someone to do His signs and wonders as He did through Moses.

We need to ask ourselves: Are we faithful? Can God count on us? These are decisions we have to make for ourselves. No one else can make them for us.

Right now, you and I can commit ourselves to be the wise and faithful servants God needs, by saying with our hearts and with our mouths: “God, You can count of me.”

Remember, whom God calls, He equips so we can go forth with expectation to be mightily used by God in the days ahead.

Lord, I gave my Word that You can count on me. I pray for those that gave their word too. We know with certainty that You will equip us for whatever task given to help maintain Your kingdom here on the earth.
