Can I Trust You? Gary V. Johnson

The Light of the World Church Kalibo ...

This book was originally published in 1995 with a title, Trust. As biblical truths are timeless, the author reprinted the book in 2025 with the title: Can I trust You?

The title asks a pertinent question, Can I trust You? The author wrote this book to emphasize the importance of developing and maintaining a relationship of trust with the men of God the Lord brings into our lives.

The book is a short read with under 50 pages but very insightful. The Introduction begins with a verse from 2 Chronicles 20:20: Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established, believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Gary Johnson wants his readers to understand how every miracle received from God, requires both a trust in God, and the man of God.  And how a violation of either of these two areas of trust will void the working of the Spirit in their lives. Not something to be taken lightly.

The book features the biblical stories of Elijah and two different widow women, one found in 1 Kings 17:9, and the other in  2 Kings 4. In these two stories, Can I trust You? is a requirement for both of these widows. Their success was dependent on it.

What about the men of God in our own lives. Are we required to have the same level of trust towards them? The author gives godly wisdom as to why trust plays a crucial role in our prosperity.

What if the pastor is not a true man of God? Can this be possible? Unfortunately yes, and the author addresses this situation, and how to move forward in a godly way.

This book will open readers’ hearts and minds to understand why trust in their men of God is vital to achieve the blessings of prosperity God has purposed for their lives.

I recommend you read this book and discover these truths for yourself. This book and other resources by Gary V. Johnson are available at leadershiptraininginstitute.org.
