Where Does Hope Come From?

The Bible teaches, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, and faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. So where does hope come from?

Hope like faith, comes from and by the Word of God. The Bible is filled with over 7000 promises from God. Be confident that what you’re hoping for is among those promises.

Hope is developed by trusting God to do what He promises in His Word, in His time and way.

So faith and hope work together. What if we have faith, but it’s taking a long time for what we’re hoping for to come to pass. What do we do then?

Continue to thank God for what we’re hoping for; believe, remain patient and wait. Consider patience this way; patience is having confident trust and expectation, based on faith and hope, that God will do what He says in His Word.

Heavenly Father, I put my faith, hope, and trust in You. Faith encourages me to believe what I’m hoping for will come to pass in Your time and way. Patience enables me to wait and never give up or lose hope. Trust gives me joy and peace knowing through You, all things are possible. Amen
