It’s been awhile since I wrote a Blog post other than a book review. I apologize for my slackness. And I admit, I don’t have a good excuse. Again the Bible gets me back on track. Romans 12:11 “Do not let your zeal subside; keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.” I thank God for His grace and mercy. He has given me the gift of “today” to write a blog post.
I asked the Lord to help me choose a topic for today’s blog post. While out for my morning walk, I heard in my spirit, “What are you believing for?”
Okay, Lord. What am I believing for? I’ve given it some thought. For me, the answer is simple: That our children and grandchildren will be saved. My husband and I have a blended family consisting of six children, and eleven grandchildren.
We are born-again Christians with a family that are not. Does this concern us? Yes, but we can’t stop believing that one day they will all receive salvation and inherit eternal life. God knows how to draw them in. We have faith to believe He will do so in His time and way.
What is faith? We are told in Hebrews11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Did you notice it says faith is a substance? Salvation for our family is the substance of what we’re hoping for, even though we don’t currently see the evidence of it.
The scripture image of Matthew 21:22 speaks volumes. “If you believe you will receive what you ask for in prayer.”
Yes; Lord, I believe I’ll receive what I’m asking for in prayer. Nothing is impossible for You.
Now; let me ask you, What are you believing for?
God is no respecter of persons, what He does for one, He will do for another I pray you are encouraged, knowing that if you believe, you will receive what you ask for in prayer. And when you ask remember, in Jesus’ name, Amen
It’s a pleasure to read your comment L.C. Yes, I love Matthew 19:26. So many testimony stories are shared that prove this to be true.
I pray what your believing for comes to pass in God’s time and way, in Jesus’ name, Amen
Blessings,
Anne-Marie
