During devotion time, I noticed several Scripture verses underlined in my Bible where trusting the Lord was emphasized. Reading them again filled with me reassurance that God is always near. We can trust Him with our whole beings. No matter what is going on in our lives, the Lord will never leave us.
We can trust Him to protect our children and grandchildren whether they’re young or adults. They’re His children too and He loves them greatly. We can trust Him to provide for our financial, physical, and emotional needs. We can trust Him to draw near when we or a loved one gets a bad report from the doctor. We can trust Him to answer our prayers that are according to His will. Who else can be put our total trust in other than God?
The answer is, no one. Those who attempt to put their trust in man alone will be disappointed, again and again.
Psalms 33:4 (NCV) says, “God word is true, and everything He does is right.” Notice, it doesn’t say man’s word is true, and everything man does is right. If the Bible says God’s word is true, He can be trusted, today and every day that follows.
Heavenly Father, thank you for Your Word that assures me I can put my complete trust in You. The promises regarding my circumstances are found in the Bible, and You will do what Your Word says. Amen.
