Before being crucified, Jesus willingly took 39 lashes. He shed His blood for our healing of every disease and sickness. Isaiah 53:5 says, “And with his stripes we are healed,” which is repeated in I Peter 2:24 (NIV), “by his wounds you have been healed. ” What does this tell us?
Jesus shed His blood and paid the ultimate price for us to be free from sin, and be completely healed from all sickness and disease. God’s children are meant to be healthy and whole.
Yet people got sick from Bible times right through to today for various reasons. The good news is, from Bible times through to today, people are healed from all sorts of ailments and afflictions. Miracles occur daily for those who believe and take a stand on the scriptural promises on healing found in the Bible. Yes, God’s promises for healing are Yes and Amen to anyone willing to take a stand on what the Scriptures say about healing. We are to believe and receive what is rightfully ours.
Satan hates to see people well, and will do his utmost to stop them from seeking God for their healing, whether it’s physical or emotional. He fills their minds with lies that they will never get better or it’s not God’s will for them to be well. We can’t believe a word he tells us. He’s a liar, there’s no truth in him. We can trust God, His Word is true.
Thank you Jesus for taking all those stripes on my behalf. The Bible says that it’s Your will that I be healthy and whole. When sickness tries to come upon me, the promises found in Your Word will strengthen and sustain me until I’m well again. Amen.
