The Lord put on my heart to write on tithing. I know the subject is controversial as some do not believe we are required to tithe. They choose to follow what’s written in 2 Corinthians 9:7: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
Yes, God does love a cheerful giver and that applies to tithing as well. People have said, “I tithe and I don’t see any difference in my finances. The sinner down the street fares better than me.” Were they tithing under obligation and not cheerful about it? Did they resent giving God 10% of their income? I can’t speak for someone else, only myself.
For years I went church but did not tithe. I cast $5.00 into the offering plate and didn’t give it further thought. That all changed when a pastor explained to me the meaning of the tithe. When I read Malachi 3:10, I knew the Lord was speaking to me. I said, “Okay, Lord. I’m going to test you on this.” That was 16 years ago and I’ve never looked back. The Lord has proven to me that when I tithe 10% of my gross income, He will make the remaining 90% goes further than I ever anticipated. I’m retired now; the Lord is still my Source, not the Government. He does what He says in His Word. By tithing cheerfully, He continually opens the floodgates of heaven for me, and pours out blessings on a regular basis. I’m amazed by what He does for me and through me.
Dear Lord, I pray that those reading this message will have their eyes and understanding opened regarding the tithe. That You will show them as You did me how to increase through tithing. Their lives will never be the same, only better! Thank You Lord for all the blessings You bestow on me and my family. Amen

This is a stirring message, not all will agree, but those who do will live a life in the blessing of God, its not all about financial gain, but certainly an important part!

Yes, the Lord proves tithing works; we are witnesses of it, both individually and as a couple. I pray blessings over those whom read my post that they too will discover for themselves how to increase through tithing.
