We recently celebrated Thanksgiving, giving thanks to the Lord for all the blessings He bestows on us daily. One morning while reading the New Century Version of the Bible; I came across Psalm 116:12, where the questions was asked. What can I give to the Lord for all the good things he has given me?
I reflected on what the verse was asking. Then I had my response. Love, because I believe love is the greatest gift we can give the Lord for all the good things He does for us. The Lord freely gives His love to us; and His Word provides many promises that demonstrate how much He loves us.
We can show gratitude to the Lord with our words. By saying, “I love you, Lord. Thank you for everything to You have done, and continue to do for me.
Love is an action word; we can show our gratitude to the Lord by loving and caring for others. We can be kind and compassionate, generous in our giving of our time and resources, be encouraging with our words. Love can be shown in a multitude of ways; the possibilities are endless. The Lord takes great delight in receiving from His children, these gifts of love, no matter how big or small.
Thank you Lord for all the good things You have given me. Please accept my gift of love to You. It comes from a sincere heart. I love you, Lord and I desire to put my love for You in action by loving and blessing others as You do. Thank you for Your Word which teaches me how to live a life filled with love.

Yes, Love never fails, and when you extend love to others, love will be returned. That just how God’s system operates. We reap what we sow, including love.
