The Greatest Book Ever Written

I’m an avid reader. In 2020, I read 21 faith-based books, written by Christian men and women who used their gift of writing and experiences to spread the good news of the gospel. I have a tendency to devour a book and often read it in haste, so engrossed in what the author had to say. It is not uncommon for me to read a book again, taking notes to fully absorb what I learned from that book.  

These 21 books increased my knowledge, as Scriptures were included to back up what was said. Yet; nothing can compare to reading the Bible itself. It is the greatest book ever written. I read my Bible daily, this practice draws me closer to God.

Proverbs 30:5 says that every word of God proves true. Reading the Bible enables us to discover what those truths are. For instance; the Bible teaches we reap what we sow. I’ve discovered this to be true. When I sow a seed of encouragement, kindness, or money, it reaps back to me  in God’s time and way. The truth of His Word never fails.

There’s no other book like the Bible. It’s timeless and the same; yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Dig into it; you’ll be pleasantly surprised by what’s you’ll find.

Thank you Lord for the Bible; the greatest book ever written. I’m so grateful for the truths found in the Bible. I’ll never be lead astray. Your Word is the same; yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
