God Will Honor His Word

I wrote the God Said, “I WILL” Promise Book so people would know what God promises in His Word. The book is filled with Scripture promises from Genesis to Revelation. Some given by the Lord Himself, others are found in Psalm’s written by King David, and several more written by the prophets and Jesus’ disciplines. The messages written on my God Inspired Blog in 2022 will focus on the many promises found in the Bible. I pray they bring hope and encouragement into your life.

While reading my Bible this morning I noted that Ezekiel 34 contained several promises made by the Lord. I was so encouraged by reading them, I want to share three of them with you.

Ezekiel 34:11: For thus says the Lord God: I, even I, will search for My sheep and seek them out.

He’s talking about you and me. We’re His sheep and He will seek us out. What a comfort to know God will not allow one of His sheep go astray. I’m so thankful that He did not give up on me when I was one of His lost sheep. I yearned to have more of God in my life but wasn’t able to fully commit to Him. That all changed on April 3, 2005, a few days before my 50th birthday. I invited Jesus into my heart and received the gift of salvation. What a gift! One that never wears out and will take me into eternity.

Ezekiel 34:15-16: I will feed My flock; and I will cause them to lie down, says the LORD GOD. I will seek that which was lost and bring back that which was driven away and bind up that which was broken and I will strengthen that which was sick.

It’s amazing, four promises in a short passage of Scripture! God, our true Shepherd promises: to feed His flock; causes them to lie down, (give them rest); seek those who are lost, and bring back the ones that were driven away; bind up that which was broken and strengthen the ones which are sick.  God truly cares for His sheep and we are so fortunate to have Him for a Shepherd. One that will never leave or forsake us. Ever!

Ezekiel 34:26: I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing. And I will cause the showers to come down in their season. They shall be showers of blessing. The tree of the field shall yield its fruit, and the ground shall yield its increase, and they shall be safe in their land.

God promises to give showers of blessings to give good harvests and protection. Showers of blessings reminds me of the rain that falls on the earth to give life and sustenance to all that is growing on it. Yet; God’s showers of blessings are everywhere. Too numerous to count. Thank you Lord for the showers of blessings You bestow upon us daily. We are grateful to receive them.

I will end this post by inviting you to read through Psalm 23. Beautiful words written by King David describing what God, the good Shepherd, does for His sheep.

God will honor His Word, and keep all that He promises in it.
