Give Thanks and Praise To The Lord

King David loved the Lord and he sang, played instruments, and danced before the Lord with total abandonment. He worshiped the Lord with no concern of what others thought of him.

Because of his ability to praise the Lord despite his circumstances, King David was successful in defeating his enemies. Did he always feel like praising the Lord? Probably not, but he chose to do it anyway and the Lord blessed him greatly. The Lord will do the same for us; He is no respecter of persons.

The Lord loves it when we lift up our hands to praise and worship Him. Satan detests it. He knows there’s power in the Name of Jesus and when he hears that Name, he has to flee. Ephesians 4:27 tells us, “Do not give the devil a way to defeat you.” How is this accomplished? By continually giving thanks and praise to the the Lord.

God inhabits the praises of His people. Let’s be like King David and tap into the supernatural power released through praise and worship.

Lord, I give you thanks and praise for all the blessings You bestow upon me. I’ll praise the Name of Jesus, regardless of the circumstances in my life. I will not give the devil any room to defeat me.

    • Your freedom to worship and praise the Lord puts a smile on His face, and fills our church with joy. What a blessing you are Rev. Mike Madore!
