The Bible teaches in Hebrews 6:12 that we are to imitate those who through faith and patience inherited what God promised. The book of Hebrews names several people whose measure of faith grew as they waited and trusted in the Lord.
Faith and patience work together as there is sometimes a season of waiting for what is prayed for to come to pass.
Wise words are found in the Bible for times when we grow tired of waiting and feel our faith wavering. We can’t trust our emotions, they are fickle. Instead; we can say, “I will walk by faith and not by sight. I will not go by what I see, but by what I believe.” We have to be mindful of Satan for he will try to steal our faith by telling us lies that are contrary to what God’s Word says.
Take God at His Word and don’t let go. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, immerse yourself in it.To the point where you can believe, not doubt, and trust He will bring whatever you are praying for to pass, in His time and way.
Thank you Lord for giving me the opportunity to exercise patience as I learn to put my faith and trust in You. The Bible says with faith all things are possible for me. I pray my faith increases as I wait for my prayers to be answered in Your time and way.
