There’s No Condemnation In Jesus Christ

In John 8, we read of a woman caught in the act of adultery. Imagine her horror on being dragged out in front of the townspeople, ready and anxious to stone her to death as was the law at that time. Jesus was among the crowd but He reacted differently. He invited those who had no sin to cast the first stone. Suddenly, stones were dropped by the eldest to the youngest as they walked away, leaving Jesus standing alone with the woman. He asked her.”Woman, where are your accusers” Did no one condemn you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.”

I love this story because it shows Jesus’ heart and compassion towards a woman who committed a grave sin. Yet, He didn’t condemn her. Instead, He granted grace and forgiveness by telling her to go and sin no more.

The Bible says we are all born sinners, and through God’s grace we can receive forgiveness and salvation with the promise of eternal life.

God’s grace is extended to anyone willing to receive it. He desires all be saved and none be lost. Salvation is a free gift, but sadly not everyone chooses to receive it. What can do for our unsaved family and friends in need of God’s grace? Pray for them. God knows when they will be receptive to hear His message on grace and salvation. Never give up; look up!

Lord, where would I without You? It’s through Your grace and mercy that sin has no hold on me, through Your grace I am forgiven.
